I think that after all the videos that we seen that space is worth it because there is so much we can still learn about it :)

I think that space exploration is worth the costs that accompany it because if in the future when the earth gets destroyed by the sun humans may all die. Humans might not all die because if we explore space enough, we may find a planet that can sustain human life. Therefore, I strongly believe that space exploration is worth the costs that accompany it.

On the other hand, space exploration might not be worth the costs that accompany it because like Matthew said below, it has already cost us 45 billion dollars for exploration to the moon alone not including the hundreds of satalites and probes that we have also sent out. Furthermore, all of this money could be used to take away world poverty and save the planetf from global warming. If we don't use the space exploration money to get rid of poverty, it will kill many human beings before the sun destroys the earth. So on the other hand, I don't think that space exploration is worth the costs that accompany it.

Be careful! The sun will not go super nova for many millions of years to come. So...by then maybe we will have created settlements on other planets!!!!

In my opinion space exploration is worth the cost because space exploration is a big step for man kind and will remain that way for many generations to come.

I agree Michael.R because NASA has made a lot of progress over the years and it will stay for centuries to come.

I think it is because we have found out so much and that we must keep going on to discover more because we might find something rare and we could walk on Jupiter or Saturn in the future

I think that human exploration is worth the cost because we have learned so many new facts about space that helps us understand more about our universe. If human exploration did not exist we wouldn't know as much as we do today.

Yes, I think that human exploration of space is worth the costs that accompany it because we have sent a man to the moon. Maybe next we will send a man to Mars. When we sent Neil Armstrong to the moon we came back with more information. Imagine what can happen when we send a man to Mars!

I think human exploration is worth the cost because so far we have learned so much and we have gained so much material that can help us with our future and as long as we can keep this exploration going we may be able to explore other planets and find very rare materials that can help us in even more later on in the future

I think that in some cases human exsploration in space is worth it but once you start doing just for the sake of doing it, it's not. For example, so far we've sent or tryed to send eatleast one hundred people to the moon.Eatleast half of those or unecesary. Also, at the cost of about 450 000 000 do we really need it?If you add up all the the times we've done it just to the moon it's 45 billion dollars! However, exsploring possible living places for the future is resonable because I believe that far in the future we will need one so the think first few times are definetly worth it.In conclusion I personally believe that human exsploration in space is only worth it the first few times.

Great job Matthew!:):) Nice statistics with the moon exploration!!!!!

We think that in some ways, human exploration is worth the costs that accompany it. For example, it brings together our nation to enjoy new discoveries and share our awe in our massive universe. On the other hand, it is a waste of time, effort and money. Our explorations are also killing innocent people who haven't even had the chance to take off into space. We should focus on clearing up our own planet before taking off to others.

I,think that human exploration is somewhat worth the costs that accompany.first of all going to space and exploring space is something
that all of mankind should be proud about and see it as a HUGE accomplishment. But,human exploration has caused countless deaths
and causes a lot of pollution.Going to space also costs HUGE amounts of money.
of money

Yes human exploration is worth the cost because there is still many things that humans could explore for example people are trying to figure out how to get to mars

Austin.Rich;)

I think it is worth it because we can achieve and learn so much in just a short period of time.

I do not belive that space eploration is worth the costs that acompany it because all that money can be used for something more useful. First, the thousands and billions of dollars spent on the exploration of our universe can be more useful to all of the families that acualy need what that money can buy. For example, the money used to get the fuel to launch one rocket into space can provide many people with clean water. Also, NASA has used the power of their money provided by the U.S. government to its advantage. They spend their trillions of dollars on all of the space missions that seem almost piontless, since they have so many of those missions. Lastly, one rocket launch could result in the death of many people around the world. Without all the money being used for food and water for families who don't have that, those families will die. To conclude, I do not think the space exploration money is worth it because of how much money is spent on something we don't need.

i think that space exploration is and isn't worth the cost that accompany it. from going up into space we have learned so much but to learn more and have people die isn't something to be happy about so i'm about in between

I believe that space exploration is not worth the costs that accompany it.To start, it costs NASA billions of dollars. The money that they are spending on the space program could give millions or billions of people clean and safe water. Clean water is nessescary to survival so why is it being pushed aside for something just to feed our curiosity? Secondly, everyone makes mistakes but if NASA makes a big mistake, they could cost people their lives. Plus, nothing is perfect so equipment failures or running out of air could cost lives as well. There have been over 100 deaths related to space exploration. There are no guarantees but improving these things to keep risk lower, will cost the government and therefore tax payers even more money. Doesn't this make debt more common? Also, other than learning about the solar system and the rest of the universe, what does taking pictures or having machines land other planets have to benefit us? We are just throwing our money out in space. Other than the educational value, are we just entertaining ourselves? On the other hand, from our second trip to the Moon, we collected new knowledge and helped invent new things though if we got this from the second trip, why do we keep going back? Are we just enjoying the thrill of making it to the Moon? In conclusion, I strongly believe that space exploration is not worth the costs that accompany it.

Wow! I am very impressed with your conversation! You have all put some serious thought into this question. Keep up the great work!!!!

I dont think space exploration is worth the costs that accompany it because all that money spent hasn't been used wisely because of risking your life and others if u spent the money to help people who need it they wouldn't be as likely to die and u and your family wouldn't be devastated if u died.

Yes, I do think space exploration is worth its coasts because think...... we would not have stepped foot on the moon and will not be able to step foot on mars. Also, what about the future generations they will just have old videos and picture and I don't know about you but I like having new pictures and videos because the old pictures and videos are hard to see and think..... your a child in 2060 the pictures and videos would be way too fuzzy and hard to see. Therefore I believe that space exploration is worth the coasts for many important reasons.

yes i think space exploration is werth the cast because with out it then we would not have the knolage we had in the first place. with out the space programe then we would be planing to step on mars or the moon. the space programe help us know about all the planets. and with out it i will feel ):
